However, the weather conditions might ease up as the hours progressed, and there are chances that fans could still be treated to a full 40-overs contest if the rain gods permit.

In case of a washout, both teams will walk out with a point each, further jeopardising Sri Lanka’s chances of qualifying for the Super Eight round of the tournament.
