It was a special moment for Arshdeep Singh as he went past Yuzvendra Chahal to become India's leading wicket-taker in T20Is. Notably, with the two wickets, Singh now has 97 wickets in 61 innings, while Chahal has 96 wickets in 79 innings.
In the latest events, BCCI has released a new clip featuring Singh, where he shed light on his latest milestone. Singh said it was a privilege to be India's leading wicket-taker in T20Is. Interestingly, Arshdeep also apologised to Yuzi out of respect with folded hands. Watch the incident here.
Arshdeep Singh Heaps Massive Praise On Varun Chakaravarthy
In the same clip as shared by BCCI, Singh heaped a massive praise on Varun Chakaravarthy, who shone with the ball and took three wickets in the first T20I. Varun helped Singh in a big way as the left-arm seamer was the sole frontline seamer as Mohammed Shami was out with a reported injury.
Singh added that Varun has added a depth in the bowling unit and is currently India's preferred spin bowler alongside Kuldeep Yadav and Ravi Bishnoi as Chahal has been out of scheme of things for a long time.
