In a remarkable achievement, India's ace speedster Arshdeep Singh surpassed Yuzvendra Chahal, becoming the most successful T20I bowler for the country. The left-arm seamer achieved the landmark during the ongoing first T20 International between India and England in Kolkata.
Notably, Arshdeep needed only two wickets to attain the landmark. After dismissing Phil Salt in the first over, the left-arm pacer got rid of Ben Duckett to etch his name in history. Chahal had 96 wickets to his name, and with Duckett's wicket, Arshdeep bagged his 97th scalp in T20 Internationals.
