Since the news emerged about Suryakumar Yadav rejoining the camp, there has been a tangible buzz among Mumbai Indians (MI) fans, brimming with anticipation. Even before his return, the franchise's official social media channels shared a unique video where SKY's teammates described the talented batter in their own way.

Surya, who underwent groin surgery for Sports Hernia in January, wasn't cleared by the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in time for the start of the IPL, resulting in him missing the first three games. However, reports on April 3rd suggested that SKY has now received clearance from the NCA and could potentially feature in the upcoming match against Delhi Capitals (DC) scheduled for April 7th, Sunday. Furthermore, it has been confirmed that the Indian cricketer will rejoin the MI camp tomorrow, April 5.

In the video, four Indian uncapped players were asked who would be joining the camp, to which all four of them described Surya in their own way. The standout response came from Shams Mulani, who humorously referred to Surya as 'Akshay Kumar Yadav'.

The 2024 edition of the IPL has seen a disappointing start for the Hardik Pandya-led Mumbai Indians, with three losses in as many matches. However, this is not unfamiliar territory for the five-time champions, and they have the potential to bounce back and qualify for the playoffs.

Whether Surya will play against DC will depend on his fitness, but his return is a major boost for Mumbai, who are currently struggling because of their unsettled middle-order.
