The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) camp is buzzing with excitement as Ishan Kishan and Abhishek Sharma join the squad ahead of IPL 2025, which kicks off on March 22. A recent viral video from the SRH practice session has caught the attention of cricket fans. In the clip, Ishan Kishan, who is known as a top-order batter and wicketkeeper, was seen trying his hand at bowling.

Ishan Kishan Turns Bowler In A Fun Net Session

Kishan, who usually bowls leg-spin, switched to off-spin in the nets and managed to take a wicket. His lighthearted banter with Abhishek Sharma added to the fun, making it an entertaining moment for SRH supporters.

Ishan Kishan, who was a key player for Mumbai Indians, was bought for ₹15.25 crore in the 2022 IPL mega auction. However, Mumbai Indians did not retain him for the 2025 season. Instead, they decided to keep Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Rohit Sharma, and Tilak Varma.

As a result, Kishan entered the IPL 2025 auction and was picked up by Sunrisers Hyderabad for ₹11.25 crore, taking a 26% pay cut from his previous salary. Despite the drop, he remains a valuable addition to the SRH squad.

Unlike Kishan, Abhishek Sharma was retained by Sunrisers Hyderabad before the auction. The young Indian opener received a significant salary boost, with SRH offering him ₹14 crore for IPL 2025. This was a 115% increase from his previous salary of ₹6.5 crore in IPL 2024.
