Former South Africa batter and one of the greatest ever to grace the game, AB de Villiers, landed in India on Friday, March 22, ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season. 

Since bidding adieu to RCB in November 2021, AB de Villiers has taken up commentary duties in the lucrative league. Once more, he is set to grace the town for his commentary role with Jio Cinema.  

AB de Villiers notably served as the cornerstone of Royal Challengers Bangalore during his tenure with the team. However, despite his remarkable contributions and efforts, the team has yet to clinch their maiden IPL title.

Meanwhile, in a bid to revamp their fortunes, Royal Challengers Bangalore have rebranded themselves as Royal Challengers Bengaluru ahead of the 2024 Indian Premier League season and changed their logo. 

Recently, the female counterparts of Royal Challengers Bengaluru made history by securing their first-ever WPL trophy in the Women's Premier League 2024 final, where they outclassed Delhi Capitals in a one-sided contest.

Meanwhile, the former Royal Challengers Bengaluru skipper, Virat Kohli, has expressed his longing to lift the IPL 2024 trophy, hoping to relish the feeling of triumph following their women's team's recent success in securing the WPL trophy.
