The last 4-5 years have been the transformational period the Indian team were looking for after the retirement of the likes of Yuvraj Singh and MS Dhoni. India have managed to come out on top in all three forms of the game due to the quality of batters even in the overseas conditions, especially in the longest format. India won the Test series in Australia twice and recently won the first-ever Test at Cape Town as well. When it comes to Test records in India, they are unbeaten since 2021.

The most influential part has been played by the all-rounders, especially Ravindra Jadeja. He has been immaculate with his skills with the bat and surprisingly, he has the most number of 50+ scores in Test cricket since 2018 in India, not Virat Kohli, not Rohit Sharma and not KL Rahul, it's him who is up there at the top. We at OneCricket, take a moment to appreciate the Indian players for their supreme contributions with their match-winning performances.

Let's have a look at the top 5 Indians with the most number of 50+ scores in India since 2018 in Test cricket.

India's premium left-arm bowling all-rounder, Ravindra Jadeja has been the most consistent with the bat and has been able to win games for India with his all-round skills. If there's any one improved batter in the Indian team then it has to be him, as with his promotion, he has been able to not just score 50-plus runs but also a hundred and win games at home.

Since 2018, Jadeja has crossed the 50-run mark eight times in Test cricket, which also means that the fans got to witness his sword celebration eight times. With 877 runs in just 20 innings including two centuries and six half-centuries, he has been a match-winner in all sorts of conditions.

Rishabh Pant - 7 Times

Rishabh Pant in Test cricket is a different gravy altogether. Not only he has hammered hundreds in England, Australia and South Africa, but also has been able to win games for India single-handedly. With his contributions over the last few years, India have managed to win games or series in SENA countries as well.

Although he hasn't been a part of the team since his unfortunate road accident, but still comes second on the list with seven fifty-plus scores including one hundred that came in Indian conditions. In just 11 innings, Pant has hammered 639 runs with an amazing average of nearly 64. The fans will be hoping for him to continue from where he left off and help India win championships.

Cheteshwar Pujara - 7 Times

Over the last decade in Test cricket, Cheteshwar Pujara was the backbone of the Indian team after the retirement of Sachin Tendulkar. Pujara's contributions and his ability to take blows have been invaluable for the Indian team. Unfortunately, his poor form at the greatest level has forced him out of the team, but he is still doing the hard yards at the domestic level.

India have been dominant at home, having been unbeatable since 2012 and Pujara has had a huge role towards India's success not only since 2018 but for the last decade. In the 25 innings at home since 2018, Pujara has scored 738 runs with crossing the 50-run mark seven times, which takes him to the third spot on this list.

Virat Kohli - 6 Times

Well, what can one say about a guy who has hammered over 8500 Test runs already? Virat Kohli has been nothing short of a gift to Indian cricket and has been a driving force for the team for over a decade now. Although, he didn't get any century for some time but still he was able to contribute to India's success.

In 25 innings since 2018 in India, Virat went on to hammer 1223 Test runs including four centuries and two half-centuries, which lands him on the fourth spot of the list with six fifty-plus scores. With an average of over 50, the right-hander has been a special player for the Indian team across all formats.

Rohit Sharma - 6 Times

When it comes to Test cricket, Rohit Sharma wasn't quite getting a long chance in the Test team, whether because of injuries or because of his batting position. Ever since he started opening in the longest format, he turned out to be a different player. With leading the Indian team in all three formats of the game, Rohit is India's most crucial player due to his ability to smack the bowlers.

Since 2018, Rohit in 23 innings in India, has smacked five centuries and one half-century with a blistering average of over 57. With six 50+ scores in Tests in Indian conditions, Rohit comes fifth on the list with a total of 1257 runs. And when it comes to most runs scored in India, he is up there at the top.
