India and Australia are currently up against each other in the opening Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25, and it is turning out to be quite an interesting match. In the first innings, India got bowled out for 150, but they did not back out and cleaned up Aussies for just 104. They are now batting well in their second outing, but amidst the excitement of the longest format, everyone has an eye on IPL Auction as well.

The Auction for the 2025 edition of the Indian Premier League is scheduled to be held on 24th and 25th November. So, during India's second innings, David Warner who is one of the registered players in the auction was asked about his preferred team during his commentary stint.

Warner Wants To Play For RCB In IPL 2025

Warner to the delight of Indian cricket fans said that he wants to play alongside Virat Kohli and it is one thing he wanted from a long time. He added that he has played a lot against Indian star and he is now one of the player he wants to be in the same team with. The Aussie superstar added that they can feed of each other's energy and sounded pretty excited about the prospective of playing for RCB, though he did not take the name of the franchise.

David Warner is one of the most successful overseas batters in the history of the IPL and has 6565 runs in 184 matches. His average is 40.52 and the strike rate is almost 140, making him a bankable option for any franchise. However, he is now at the fag end of his career, and strike rate has been a bit of issue for him lately. He is currently playing only franchise leagues and has retired from international cricket, so it would be interesting to see which franchise bid for him. If RCB does, it would be a fascinating union of two big superstars.
