The Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi has won the ‘Best Pitch and Ground’ award for the IPL 2025 season. The venue also happens to be the home ground of legendary Indian batter and RCB’s IPL 2025 winner Virat Kohli in domestic cricket.

DDCA Director Shyam Sharma even attended the final of the tournament, albeit at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad and posed for a picture with Delhi cricket’s Hall of Famer Virat Kohli.

The Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi has won the ‘Best Pitch and Ground’ award for the IPL 2025 season for making sporting surfaces throughout the tournament. Taking to X, DDCA Director Shyam Sharma expressed his honour in winning the award and credited board President Rohan Jaitley as well as pitch curator Ankit Dutta for their “untiring efforts”.

The Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi hosted seven matches this IPL 2025 season, including five home fixtures for the Axar Patel-led Delhi Capitals franchise. The venue also hosted the lone tied match of the tournament, doing so in match number 32 of the season between hosts Capitals and the visiting Rajasthan Royals, with both teams finding themselves deadlocked at 188 before the former won a thrilling Super Over.

The Second Highest Total Of IPL 2025 Came At The Arun Jaitley Stadium

The stadium further hosted two neutral games during the decisive stages of the league, with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) amassing the second highest total of the season and the third highest overall in tournament’s history on May 25, mounting 278-3 from 20 overs against defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

Nonetheless, the Arun Jaitley Stadium won the award, thus taking away the prestigious honor from last year’s winner, the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
