Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) didn’t have a good day in the IPL 2025. They played against Delhi Capitals (DC) at their home ground, M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, on April 10 — and sadly, they lost the match by 6 wickets.

Now, what’s grabbing attention is a viral video of Virat Kohli having a serious, animated conversation with RCB mentor and former player Dinesh Karthik. This clip has made fans wonder if Kohli is unhappy with RCB captain Rajat Patidar.

What Happened in the RCB vs DC Match?

RCB were defending a total of 163. They started strong, getting Delhi’s top three batters out quickly; DC were 30/3 at one point. But then came KL Rahul, who played a brilliant unbeaten knock of 93 runs, leading Delhi Capitals to victory on a ground where he once learned cricket as a youngster.

As KL Rahul began hitting big in the later part of the match, cameras caught Virat Kohli talking intensely with Dinesh Karthik. This heated exchange got people talking online. Many believe Kohli might be frustrated with the team’s strategies or leadership, especially with captain Rajat Patidar.

Thanks to KL Rahul, DC chased down the 164-run target easily with 2.1 overs still left. They remain unbeaten in IPL 2025 so far.

For RCB, this was their second loss of the season. They’re still sitting at the third spot on the points table but need to fix a few issues.

RCB Mentor Points Out Fingers At The Pitch

RCB’s mentor Dinesh Karthik also pointed fingers at the pitch after the match. In the post-match press conference, he said that they had asked the pitch curator to prepare a good batting wicket for their first two home games. But the pitch didn’t turn out the way they expected; it was tough to bat on.

He said the team was caught off guard by how the pitch played and it didn’t match the instructions given to the curator.
