Following a humiliating loss in the first Test against South Africa in Centurion, Team India mounted a resilient comeback, securing a convincing victory by seven wickets in the second Test at Cape Town within a brief two-day match.

The visitors created history by clinching their first-ever victory in a Test match at Cape Town. This match also marked the farewell test for Dean Elgar, who led the team in the second Test due to the absence of regular captain Temba Bavuma.

While Dean Elgar faced a forgettable match with dismissals at 4 and 12 runs in both innings, the former Indian captain, Virat Kohli, strived to turn it into a memorable farewell for the retiring South African legend.

Following the match's conclusion, Virat Kohli handed Dean Elgar his signed Team India jersey as a gesture of appreciation, personally congratulating Elgar on his outstanding career.

Earlier, Indian captain Rohit Sharma, who finished the match for Team India, was also spotted congratulating Dean Elgar for his stellar contribution to Test cricket.

Meanwhile, this Cape Town Test stands as the briefest in cricket history, wrapping up within two days. South Africa's decision to bat after winning the toss backfired, as they were bowled out for just 55 runs.

Team India, on the other hand, mirrored the struggle but managed 153 in their first innings. South Africa's second innings set a modest 79-run target for India, who effortlessly chased it down, securing a seven-wicket triumph.
