Virat Kohli and the rest of the Indian cricket team visited the residence of Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese on Wednesday, January 1, i.e., just a couple of days prior to the launch of the series-deciding fifth Test match at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG).

During the usual meet and greet, the legendary Indian batter also interacted with the brothers of his newfound on-field Australian nemesis, Sam Konstas. The brothers of the young Australian cricketer even posed for a click with Kohli, one which has now garnered much social media attention amidst the former Indian captain’s feud with the 19-year-old.

Virat Kohli caught up and interacted with the brothers of Australia’s latest batting prodigy Sam Konstas on January 1 at the Australian PM residence. The trio even posed in front of the cameras with a smile for a social media click.

Sam Konstas, who made his Australian debut last week through the MCG Test against India, had a run-in with India’s cricketing giant Virat Kohli within the opening hour of play. Kohli and Konstas even exchanged a few words with each other before the latter recorded his maiden Test half-century.

As an aftermath, the Indian batting veteran received one demerit point and was slapped with 20 percent of his match fees by the International Cricket Council (ICC).

Nonetheless, both cricketers will once again square off, this time in the final Test of the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test series. With series and a place in the WTC 2025 final on the line, the match will launch from January 3 onwards at the iconic Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG).
