RCB's star batter Virat Kohli was in sublime form on Monday (April 7, 2025) against Mumbai Indians (MI). But his fiery knock came to an abrupt end after he was dismissed in the 15th over. The RCB opener, who had looked set for a massive score, lost his cool after top-edging a delivery from MI captain Hardik Pandya. 

After his dismissal he expressed his anger, as he smashed his bat and threw his gloves in the dressing room.

Virat Kohli Loses His Cool vs MI

Kohli, who had raced to a brisk 29-ball fifty, was looking in great touch and rhythm. But just after the time-out in the 15th over, he mistimed a leg-side shot off Pandya. The top edge was safely collected by Naman Dhir at deep square leg. 

As Kohli walked back to the dressing room, it was clear that he was not pleased with his untimely dismissal.

Virat Kohli made historic achievement with his knock, he became the first Indian cricketer to reach 13,000 runs in T20 cricket. He now joins an elite group of just five players to have scored over 13,000 runs in the shortest format of the game. 

RCB Registers Historic Win Against MI

RCB managed to pull off a memorable victory over MI, breaking a decade-long jinx. It was the first time in 10 years that RCB had defeated MI at the Wankhede Stadium. 

This victory came after RCB had defeated CSK at the Chepauk Stadium for the first time in 17 years. It would not be wrong to say that 2025 season seems to be one of breakthrough moments for RCB.
