Virat Kohli is not just back in form, he is back in the hearts of millions. Ahead of the 3rd ODI between India and South Africa, the tickets in Vizag were sold out in minutes. 

Kohli has rediscovered his vintage form. His stunning back-to-back centuries in Ranchi and Raipur sparked a wave of excitement across the country, and the effect was most visible in Visakhapatnam. 

Vizag ODI to be house full for Virat Kohli

What was expected to be a low-key third ODI against South Africa has now turned into the hottest ticket in Indian cricket.

When tickets for the Vizag ODI first went on sale on November 28, the response was slow. Officials from the Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) were even preparing for a low turnout. 

But everything changed the moment Virat Kohli reached three figures in Ranchi on November 30. 

Within hours, online traffic jumped, and ticket sales exploded. The second and third phases of tickets were completely sold out in minutes.

Prices ranging from ₹1,200 to ₹18,000 could not stop fans. Everyone wanted to witness Virat Kohli bat in person. 

According to ACA officials, Kohli’s form single-handedly brought the buzz back to the game. It was not just about India vs South Africa anymore. It was about Virat Kohli. 

The fever didn’t stop at tickets. Hundreds of fans rushed to the Vizag airport hours before the team even arrived. Many stood through delays just to catch a glimpse of their hero. 

A lot is at stake at Vizag

Meanwhile, the third ODI between India and South Africa scheduled at Vizag on December 6 will be a blockbuster contest, as the series is on the line.

The two ODIs so far have produced nail-biting results, with both sides giving their absolute best. Moreover, since the Vizag pitch is expected to be as flat as a concrete road, fireworks are guaranteed, and the houseful crowd will be in for a treat.
