Virat Kohli is currently in West Indies for the upcoming all-format series against the hosts. The cricketer landed in Barbados along with the rest of his teammates on July 2, i.e., full 10 days prior to the commencement of the first Test match.
Kohli has been sharing some emotional and cryptic quotes via his Instagram account off late. The senior Indian batter, while in West Indies on professional duty, seems to be continuing his trend as he recently shared another thoughtful message on his account.
Quoting Vietnamese monastic Thich Nhat Hanh, the message Kohli shared on his account makes a subtle focus on certain aspects that binds all humans together.

Virat Kohli seems to be on a path to spirituality, considering the recent wave of thought-provoking messages he has been sharing on Instagram. Just a few weeks ago, he shared a motivational message which revolved around the theme of change and emphasised the significance of accepting and embracing it with grace.
He has now decided to quote Thich Nhat Hanh, a Vietnamese monk, through his Instagram story. The quote reads:
“We are all leaves of one tree. We are all waves of one sea.”
The former Indian captain also put up an instagram story quoting the US-based Philosopher, J Krishnamurti, which said:
"If you do not compare yourself with another you will be what you are. Through comparison you hope to evolve, to grow, to become more intelligent, more beautiful. But will you? The fact is what you are, and by comparing you are fragmenting the fact which is a waste of energy. To see what you actually are without any comparison gives you tremendous energy to look."

Kohli recently endured a torrid time in England at the WTC 2023 final. The batting maverick scored just 14 and 49 in two innings of the all-important Test match against Australia, as Team India went down by 209 runs.
With an ODI World Cup at home just ahead, the legendary batter will be looking to maximise every opportunity in the lead up to the tournament. The series against West Indies will be Kohli’s first since India’s crushing defeat, and it serves as an ideal testing ground for him and his Indian teammates to get back into rhythm.
