Steve Smith, a stalwart of the modern era, will be taking the field for his momentous 100th Test match at Headingley, Leeds. With two wins already in their bag, the Pat Cummins-led Australia will look to retain their Ashes urn.

Smith looked in sublime form in the second Test against England at Lord’s, smashing a match-winning century in the first innings. The 34-year-old scored 110 runs off 184 balls after Australia were put to bat first after Ben Stokes won the toss.

From bowling wrist-spin to dominating with the batting charts, this right-handed sensation has become one of the game's contemporary greats. As Smith gears up to play his 100th Test, Cricket Australia shares a special video where the fellow players share their favourite Steve Smith innings.

Australia captain Cummins and Marnus Labuschagne did not take much time and stated that Smith's comeback innings against England in Ashes 2019 is undoubtedly the finest moment of his career.

Both highlighted the Test match's context, marking Smith's return to the field post the Sandpaper Gate ban. Labuschagne conceded that he had never heard any players being booed this vigorously in his entire career.

The Aussie duo recalled how their star batter took the English bowlers to the cleaners and scored two centuries in as many innings of the match to make his return a memorable one.

Smith finished as the highest run-scorer of the series as he racked up 774 runs in seven innings at a Bradman-esque average of 110.57 with three fifties and three hundreds to his name.

The batting maverick is once again looking in great form in the ongoing 2023 Ashes series as well having already smacked 166 runs from the first two Test matches against the Three Lions.
