On Thursday, the World Cup-winning Indian side landed in the national capital where they met Prime Minister Narendra Modi for breakfast at his residence. 

The Rohit Sharma-led side received a grand welcome when they landed at the national capital. Ahead of meeting the PM, the players and the support staff went straight to ITC Maurya, where they stayed briefly to freshen up and get ready to meet the Prime Minister. 

When the players reached ITC Maurya, they first cut a customised cake to celebrate the win. In the latest events,  the Chef revealed the breakfast menu for the players and the support staff.

"The cake is in the colour of the Team's jersey. Its highlight is this trophy, it may look like an actual trophy but this is made out of chocolate...This is our welcome to the winning team...We have arranged the breakfast in the special venue and we will offer them a special breakfast.." the executive chef at ITC Maurya told the news agency ANI.

"ITC Maurya believes in sustainability, so the breakfast has options made with millet. There is healthy food as well as a bit of indulgence," he added.

 Snacks such as pistachio, naan khatai, cinnamon sugar palmier, charoli and paprika cheese twist were also present according to Times Food report. The players' rooms had hand-rolled chocolate truffle rolls.

The report also claims that India captain Rohit was served a Mumbai-style Vada pav.  For Virat Kohli, Amritsari-style Chhole Bhature were said to be prepared. At the time of writing this article, the Indian team are travelling to Mumbai for open bus parade.
