In recent years, Virat Kohli and Sourav Ganguly have had a pretty turbulent relationship which has been on display on live broadcast as well. In the latest meet between the two, the former cricketer was seen paying respect to Virat after RCB's home win over DC.

In a viral video, Ganguly is seen removing his cap before shaking hands with Virat Kohli after the match. The duo famously had a 'no-handshake' incident in 2023 which stirred a lot of conversations. The left-hander had skipped the queue while shaking hands with the RCB players which was followed by a death stare from the then 34-year-old.

Later in the 2023 season, the two met again, this time with a cheerful handshake. The two ex-India captains had shared a topsy-turvy relationship right from the time when Virat was leading the Indian team and the 51-year-old was the BCCI president.

Following Kohli's stepping down as the T20I captain of the Indian team in 2021, he was dismissed as the ODI captain in the following months, the duo had a back-and-forth rhetorical battle, openly in the media where both of them kept contradicting each other over how the captaincy change took place.

The duo kept having their ups and downs in the next couple of years but finally, on Sunday, May 12, the former captains let the bygones be bygones as they shared a smile with the senior pro removing his cap out of respect. He put his cap back on while greeting the other players.
