Former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh shared his wild take on RCB’s future in the IPL 2024, saying if the men in red somehow make it to the playoffs, they will surely be a strong contender for the ultimate trophy.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) find themselves in a tricky situation this IPL 2024 season as their fortunes changed overnight. After dropping six games in the middle, RCB won the past five games on the trot and is now dreaming of securing the ultimate playoff berth.

RCB will face CSK for the final league game on Saturday, and that will be no less than a virtual knockout between the two sides.

While RCB's chances of qualification seem bleak, former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh believes RCB can fight their way through. 

He said on Star Sports if RCB manages to qualify for the playoffs after being at the bottom of the table for weeks, they will go on to win the trophy.

Harbhajan explained that RCB are wounded lions and have faced a lot of downs as a unit this IPL 2024 season. Not to mention the outside criticism and pressure that comes from being the franchise with zero IPL trophies.

"If RCB team has come from where it has come and if they qualify for playoffs then they can also win the trophy. They are like wounded lion because they face so much, losses & criticism if they qualify & they can win the Trophy," Harbhajan said on Star Sports.

Hence, a playoff qualification will boost RCB’s morale massively and perhaps the aggressive intent might propel them to the unthinkable.
