The countdown to the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 has begun, with players worldwide assembling at their respective franchises to kick off preparations for what promises to be an electrifying season. 

KKR’s star batter Rinku Singh recently joined his IPL franchise, and a video of him travelling with Abhishek Nayar and head coach Chandrakant Pandit has gone viral, where he claimed to lift the IPL trophy this season. 

In a viral social media clip, Rinku Singh, accompanied by Abhishek Nayar and Chandrakant Pandit, boldly announces their arrival and provides a quick insight on his preparation for the forthcoming season.

“Hello everyone, I am Rinku Singh and he is Abhishek sir and Chandu [Chandrakant Pandit] sir. We are on the flight to Kolkata. We are very excited about the upcoming season and prepared for this year and will lift the trophy this season.”

The Uttar Pradesh batter flourished in the previous season with the Kolkata Knight Riders, amassing 474 runs in 14 matches at a strike rate of 158 and an average of 40. Later, he also earned his debut for the Indian cricket team.  

As we gear up for the IPL 2024 season, Rinku Singh is once again prepared to dazzle with his performances, steering KKR towards the playoffs, something they have missed since 2021. This time they also have their two-time IPL winning captain, Gautam Gambhir, with them as a mentor.
