In a massive positive for Mumbai Indians, Trent Boult is expected to rejoin the team for the remainder of IPL 2025. Notably, Boult was one of the IPL-bound foreign players who left India due to the tense armed conflict with Pakistan. 

Boult To Rejoin MI For Remainder Of IPL 2025

As reported by ESPNCricinfo, ace New Zealand seamer Trent Boult will likely reunite with his Mumbai Indians teammates for the remaining IPL 2025 matches. The left-arm pacer played a pivotal role in MI's remarkable turnaround in the tournament, scalping eighteen wickets in twelve matches at a superb strike rate of 14. 

His match-winning spells against SRH, LSG and RR helped him prove his worth for the umpteenth time after being purchased by the five-time champions in last year's mega auction. 

Thus, considering Boult is in sublime form, his comeback would certainly strengthen MI's lineup for their first rescheduled face-off against Delhi Capitals at Wankhede Stadium on May 21. 

Jacks, Rickelton, Bosch Doubtful For IPL Playoffs

While Boult's return is a sigh of relief for Mumbai Indians, the uncertainty over the availability of Will Jacks, Ryan Rickelton and Corbin Bosch could certainly shatter their dream for a sixth title win. 

Rickelton and Bosch have been included in South Africa's WTC final squad. As confirmed by head coach Shukri Conrad, they have been asked to join the national side on May 26 ahead of South Africa's warm-up game vs Zimbabwe, preceding the WTC final. 

Meanwhile, Will Jacks has been picked as one of England's key players for the upcoming white-ball series against West Indies at home. He is also expected to play the three-match ODI series starting on May 29. 

So, if MI enter the playoffs, the absence of these three players could potentially derail their IPL 2025 campaign.
