Seam bowling all-rounder Kyle Jamieson is set to make a comeback for the upcoming T20I series against UAE and England. Adding to the excitement, a pair of potential debutants, Dean Foxcroft and Adi Ashok, have been selected by New Zealand Cricket (NZC) to join the squad for the UAE leg of the tour.

The new look 15-strong squad is geared up for three T20Is against UAE in Dubai on August 17, 19, and 20.

The tour party, led by the experienced Tim Southee, will grow to 22 players once they arrive in England. Finn Allen, Devon Conway, Matt Henry, Glenn Phillips, Adam Milne, Daryl Mitchell, and Ish Sodhi will join the squad post-The Hundred and before the first T20I in Durham against England on August 30.

In this dynamic setup, Foxcroft, Ashok, Chad Bowes, Dane Cleaver, Cole McConchie, Henry Shipley, and Will Young will be replaced by the incoming players to enhance the team's versatility and depth.

Jamieson suffered a serious back injury during his time in England last June. He underwent surgery in February after discovering a stress fracture near his return.

Among the new talents joining the squad are Foxcroft and Ashok. Foxcroft displayed his brilliance during the Super Smash last summer, earning the prestigious title of New Zealand Cricket's domestic player of the year. With an outstanding 424 runs and nine wickets in the competition, his inclusion promises an extra spark to the team's performance.

Ashok, on the other hand, impressed everyone with match-turning spells for the Aces in the Super Smash, claiming seven wickets and proving his worth as a leg-spinner.

Unfortunately, Kane Williamson (knee) and Michael Bracewell (achilles) were unavailable for selection due to respective injury concerns.

Additionally, all-rounders- Jimmy Neesham and Mitchell Santner have secured short-term deals to participate in the final games of The Hundred competition, bridging the gap between the UAE and England T20I series.

Wicket-keeper batter Tim Seifert has retained his spot for both tours. The consistent performances of Rachin Ravindra and Mark Chapman against Sri Lanka and during the away tour to Pakistan in April-May also secured their positions in the squads.
