Things change quickly, and you've got to be adaptable: Heinrich Malan before India series

Ireland will host India, New Zealand, South Africa, and Afghanistan in the upcoming summer. Ireland coach Heinrich Malan in an interview stated that it's the most cricket that Ireland has played in an international calendar. Their stint will start against India as they are hosting a two-match series. This will also help them prepare for the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia.

Malan added that the Ireland team is looking forward to the Indian series led by Hardik Pandya. After a long time, Ireland will be playing T20 matches in front of a packed crowd in Malahide, Dublin. The Ireland team is excited about this period as they will be getting more international exposure from some of the best players.

Talking about their approach toward the Indian side, one of the best sides in the T20 format, he said, "Look, I guess that's the fun part of international cricket. Things change quickly, and you've got to be adaptable. We've been playing domestically—here, the interprovincial competition has been going on. So the boys have played a lot of cricket,"

"But, in the same breath, the weather will play its part as well, which is always a part of the wonderful game of cricket. We know that the players that we're going to compete against over the next six weeks have all played a lot of cricket—whether it's been in the IPL or for the international teams. And I guess that's the challenge for us,"

He feels that adaptability and playing good cricket against the opponents will be their focus areas which will help them succeed in the International format. Taking into consideration our opponents.

Malan added that using the available data and he said that a lot of effort has been put into making plans on what their approach will be, and then by using the opposition's analysis tools, we will try to achieve our objectives as fast as possible.
