The World Test Championship (WTC) Final 2023 is now a few hours away with India and Australia all set to fight it out to become the first-ever nation to hold all ICC trophies. However, on the morning of the much-anticipated five-day fixture, a video of the Oval's pitch is going viral, which hints at the conditions being friendly for the bowlers and showing no signs of assistance for the batters.

It is understood that the curator left 9 millimetres of grass two days before Day 1 of the WTC Final 2023, while it was reduced to  6 millimetres on the eve of the pinnacle fixture. Meanwhile, it seems no more grass has been shaved.

Indian wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik, who is part of the commentary panel for the Test match, has shared a picture on his social media that doesn't lend any encouraging signs. He captioned the post saying the weather is cloudy at the moment but it is expected to get better before the game begins.

Although the weather forecast is clear for all five days. As per a leading weather website, the conditions are expected to be sunny whole day with the temperature range from 10° celsius to 22° celsius.

The erstwhile commentator has recently posted another post where the curator is seen shaving off the turf hours before the start of the match.

The WTC Final between India and Australia will commence at 3:00 PM IST on Friday, with the coin flip scheduled to take place half and an hour before the match.
