[Watch] 'Shami, Shami' Chants Go Wild In Dharamsala  After His Stunning Five-Wicket Haul vs NZ

Mohammed Shami has been a great servant for Indian cricket for last decade or so and has delivered plenty of match-winning performances across formats. He was brilliant in the 2015 and 2019 World Cup as well but could not find a place in India's playing XI in the initial four matches of the 2023 edition, owing to India's requirement of all-round skills of Shardul Thakur. However, Hardik Pandya's injury against Bangladesh paved way for Shami's entry in the XI and the man responded with a stunning five-wicket haul, showing his skills both with the new ball and at death.

His brilliant display of pace bowling, helped India bundled out Kiwis for 273 in Dharamsala and his performance was widely accepted by the jam-packed crowd in Dharamsala with chants of 'Shami, Shami' buzzing around the ground. The atmosphere was quite electric and it reaffirmed credentials of Shami - the white-ball bowler yet again on the big stage. Shami recently also took a five-wicket haul in Asia Cup and this is another big reminder of the impact he can make with his world-class skills. 

We can expect Shami to build on this superb start to World Cup and create a big impact as India hope to repeat the heroics of 2011 World Cup.
