After losing the T20 World Cup final to Sri Lanka in 2014, it took India a decade to reach another final. India defeated defending champions, England by 68 runs in the second semifinal of ICC T20 World Cup 2024 held in Guyana.

As India celebrated their victory, former English captain Michael Vaughan suggested that Guyana's conditions favoured the Indian team, attributing the result to the venue. However, Indian cricket great Harbhajan Singh responded to Vaughan's insinuation with strong words.

"If England had beaten SA they would have got the Trinidad semi and I believe they would have won that game .. So no complaints they haven't been good enough .. But Guyana has been a lovely venue pick for India," Vaughan had posted on X after the result.

This followed after numerous conspiracy theories circulating on social media about the 2023 ODI World Cup hosted by India. Harbhajan Singh, angered by these claims, responded directly to Vaughan's post with X.

Harbhajan Singh's fiery reply to Vaughn

"What makes u think Guyana was a good venue for India ? Both Teams played on the same venue . England won the toss that was an advantage . Stop being silly . England was outplayed by India in all departments. Accept the fact and Move on and keep ur rubbish with urself. Talk logic not Nonsense."-Harbhajan Singh replied on Vaughan's post.

Vaughan has been repeatedly talking about the venue change for the T20 World Cup 2024 semi-final. He mentioned multiple times before the India vs England match that originally, Rohit Sharma led team was supposed to play in Trinidad but ended up playing in Guyana.

India, who convincingly defeated England in the semi-finals, will now face South Africa in the final. Both teams have remained unbeaten throughout the tournament, setting the stage for an exciting clash.
