T20 WC 2022 Qualifiers B | Bas de Leede guides Netherlands to a win over USA

The Netherlands won their semi-finals clash against the United States of America (USA) to qualify for the final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifier B.

More importantly, the win places them in the main draw of the T20 WC 2022 scheduled for October.

How the chase went

Saurabh Netravalkar got the better of Stephan Myburgh in his first over. Max O'Dowd and Bas de Leede consolidated the innings, adding 53 runs for the second wicket, with the latter doing most of the heavy lifting.

O'Dowd fell for 16 to Nisarg Patel. Veteran Tom Cooper scored three runs before falling to Cameron Stevenson.

de Leede registered his second T20I half-century to keep the Dutch in the hunt.

He (91*) along with skipper Scott Edwards (26*) took the side to a comfortable seven-wicket victory, adding 77 runs together.
