Dunith Wellalage, the 20-year-old left-arm spinner, had an amazing tournament. He was the game-changer in the clash against Afghanistan, where the Afghans were almost there to grab the qualification spot for the Super 4s. But Dunith came in the way and picked up two wickets in a single over.
In the Super 4s clash against India, Dunith became the star performer of the match and almost snatched a victory from the Indian team. Dunith picked up a five-wicket haul and also scored 42 not out. Despite India's win in the match, Dunith Wellalage was named the Player of the Match for his all-round performance.

Dunith mentioned that how he admire Virat Kohli and he is his favourite cricketer. He also mentioned that Kohli is the number one batter in the world and he is his favourite and dream wicket.
The left-arm spinner took Virat's wicket in the Super 4s match, where he dismissed Rohit, Gill, Rahul, and Hardik as well. It was a dream spell for him picking up the wickets of top quality batters in the world.
