With a flurry of reports signing towards the fact that the outgoing BCCI president Sourav Ganguly will not be elected for a second term due to his non-performance over a three-period, several dignitaries have since come out to pick a reason for his rebuff.

One of the reports published in Cricbuzz, mentioned that rival endorsement of BCCI's sponsor during his tenure is one of the many reasons contributing to his removal.

However, one source also added that he might be back with Delhi Capitals in some capacity, along with some indicating that his stint as President of Cricket Association with Bengal could be on the cards.

It could be ascertained that former BCCI President N Srinivasan was against the idea of Ganguly continuing at his post and was even critical of him during his term.

"He clearly looked upset, disappointed and dejected," was what a member at the office said about him when asked about his reaction post high-level meet.

Ganguly was, however, said to be trying very hard to save his job, but Karnataka's Roger Binny pipped him at the very last moment, ending all his hopes to retain his chair.
