KL Rahul's struggle with the bat continued in India's high-stake chase on the final day of the ongoing fourth Test against Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). It is important to mention that, KL Rahul, was moved to No. 3 after opening in the first three Tests.

While his prior performances in the series included a couple of half-centuries, the transition down the order did not yield the desired results. With India under pressure, chasing a daunting target on the final day of the fourth Test, KL Rahul failed again.

Australian captain Pat Cummins turned the tide in favor of the hosts with a deadly spell. The Australian skipper delivered a near-perfect scrambled seam delivery to dismiss KL Rahul.

The 32-year-old's poor run in the ongoing fourth match, has sparked a barrage of criticism on Twitter, with many fans expressing frustration over Rahul's inability to perform when the team needs him the most.

Some critics even took aim at the team management, and questioned the logic behind moving Rahul to the No. 3 spot in an already uncertain batting line-up.

KL Rahul's Duck Sparks Twitter Outrage

After KL Rahul failure, twitter quickly erupted with reactions, many of which questioned Rahul’s place in the team. His failure to capitalise on a significant opportunity once again has led to increasing criticism of his inconsistent performances, particularly when the team needed him most.

India’s woes didn’t end there. Just before the lunch break, Virat Kohli was dismissed for a mere five runs off 29 balls, leaving India at 3/33. At the time of writing, India are at 112/3, with Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rishabh Pant at the crease.
