And once again it was Jasprit Bumrah’s fiery spell that saved India and gave a little hope for Day 5 of the ongoing 4th Test between India and Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. However, despite Bumrah’s remarkable performance along with determined contribution from Siraj, Australia fought back resolutely to extend their lead to 333 runs at the end of Day 4. 

On day 4 Australia resumed at 135/6 after tea, with Marnus Labuschagne and Alex Carey at the crease. India were hopeful of wrapping up the tail quickly, but Labuschagne played a gritty knock to extend Australia’s lead. 

Australia captain Pat Cummins also played a crucial role with the bat, and made 41 runs off 90 balls. His solid knock helped Australia add valuable runs, taking the lead past 300. As the India pushed for more breakthroughs, the Australian tail, led by Nathan Lyon and Scott Boland, dug in and frustrated the Indian bowlers.

The fifth day of India vs Australia fourth Test match will start at 5:00 AM IST. (It is important to note that if there are no interruptions due to rain or other poor weather conditions)
