Shubman Gill, Steve Smith and Glenn Phillips were nominated for the Player Of The Month award for their remarkable performances in international cricket of late. While Smith and Phillips were impressive in the Champions Trophy, Gill emerged victorious in the race, thanks to his prolific outings across formats.
Statistically, Gill enjoyed stellar success with the bat last month, placing himself at the top on the list of the highest run-getters in February. He slammed 406, including two tons and two half-centuries runs at an average of 101.50 and a strike rate of 94.19.
After playing an impactful 87-run knock in Nagpur, Gill struck valuable 60 runs in India vs England second ODI. He followed it up with two scintillating centuries, ensuring India's emphatic victories.
