Pakistan suffered a shocking defeat at the hands of Bangladesh in the first Test match at Rawalpindi.

The hosts, started well in the Test match, and scored a mammoth 448/6, courtesy a sublime 171* from wicket-keeper, batter, Mohammad Rizwan. However, the Tigers slammed 565 in their first innings, and seemingly took the game away from the home side.

Pakistan were bundled out for a meagre 146 in their second innings, giving a target of just 30 runs for the Tigers to chase, which they did effortlessly.

Shan Masood under the scanner as Pakistan suffer humiliating defeat

After an embarrassing defeat, the entire Pakistan side have come under scrutiny, especially skipper Shan Masood. Ever-since taking over the captaincy from Babar Azam, Masood has failed to win a single game as the skipper of the team, losing against Australia, and now a humiliating defeat against the Tigers.

As per latest reports, his captaincy is also in danger, considering Pakistan are 8th in the WTC points table. He has looked defensive in his leadership skills, and if reports are to be believed, Pakistan may make the captaincy change, if Masood's side doesn't win the second Test, and the series against England.

Also, Masood has been lacklustre with his batting performance. He failed to deliver the goods in the Rawalpindi Test as Pakistan were crushed by the visitors.
