The notorious content creator, renowned for his merciless roasts, launched a tirade against Virat Kohli, poking fun at his lack of IPL trophies, in a special segment aired on Star Sports.

"Virat Kohli has given up eating sweets because he never gets a chance to celebrate. Diet is just an excuse. Look at Rohit Bhai, when a person wins, he does not need to diet. Are you listening, Virat?," Minati quipped in the controversial video.

This brutal jibe did not sit well with the legion of Kohli's fans, leading to a social media uproar with the hashtag ‘Shame on Carry Minati’ trending on X.

The fans unleashed their fury, condemning Minati for his lack of respect towards the cricket icon.

Meanwhile, Kohli's return to the pitch after a two-month hiatus following the birth of his son was rather dismal. His performance in the IPL 2024 opener was less than stellar, managing only 21 runs off 20 balls, contributing to RCB's six-wicket defeat.

The cricketing community is now keenly watching, waiting to see if Kohli can shake off the dust and deliver a comeback worthy of his reputation in RCB's upcoming face-off against Punjab Kings on March 25 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
