Saurabh Tiwary Toasts MS Dhoni’s Hall Of Fame Induction With A Cake

MS Dhoni was inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame by the International Cricket Council (ICC) earlier this week. The former Indian captain was among the seven new entries into the prestigious club alongside Matthew Hayden, Hashim Amla, Graeme Smith, Daniel Vettori, Sana Mir and Sarah Taylor.

In doing so, Dhoni also became only the 11th Indian cricketer to join the Hall of Fame, joining the likes of fellow ODI World Cup winning captain Kapil Dev and all-time batting greats Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Sunil Gavaskar among others.

MS Dhoni Gets A Sugary Salute From Saurabh Tiwary

Commemorating his induction into the ICC Hall of Fame, MS Dhoni was felicitated by the Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) for his latest achievement. After pictures of JSCA President Ajay Nath Shah Deo celebrating the occasion by gifting MS Dhoni a flower bouquet went viral, fellow Jharkhand lad and former Indian batter Saurabh Tiwary also toasted the CSK captain’s success, albeit with a cake.

In another picture circulating on social media, Tiwary can be seen handing out cake to Dhoni to extend his “sweet” tribute for the former Indian captain.

It is worth noting that Saurabh Tiwary made his Team India debut under the leadership of MS Dhoni back in mid-2010. He was part of the Indian team that lifted the 2010 Asia Cup in Sri Lanka.

What’s Next For MS Dhoni?

MS Dhoni, aged 43 and nearing 44, recently played the IPL 2025 season as captain of the CSK franchise. While several circulating reports and experts claimed that IPL 2025 was going to be Dhoni’s last outing in competitive cricket, the legendary wicketkeeper-batter has hinted out on making his return for IPL 2026 next year.
