Sarfaraz Khan & Dhruv Jurel have clinched the spotlight in Indian cricket as they secure BCCI central contracts, showcasing their mettle on the international stage. The duo, initially overlooked, earned their places following remarkable performances during India's recent series triumph.


A stalwart in Mumbai cricket with his explosive skills, Sarfaraz Khan displayed his prowess with three crucial half-centuries against a formidable opposition led by Ben Stokes. 

Notably, his debut Test in Rajkot witnessed two remarkable innings, contributing significantly to India's success. With a total of 200 runs at an impressive average of 50, Sarfaraz's inclusion underscores his growing stature in the national setup.

Meanwhile, debutant Dhruv Jurel's heroics in the pivotal fourth Test in Ranchi played a defining role in India's series victory. His resilient knock of 90 runs during a first-innings collapse steered India towards a crucial win. 

His performance not only showcased his batting prowess but also his ability to handle pressure in high-stakes encounters, earning him the Player of the Match accolade.

However, the exclusion of Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer from the central contracts has sparked speculation. Rumors suggest underlying rifts leading to their omission,  Ishan opted out South Africa series and was only recently seen at the cricket scene, whereas Iyer was dropped from the team due to his poor form however, he did showcase commanding performance for Mumbai during the Ranji Trophy.
