Former Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Rohit Sharma has rolled up his sleeves and dived headfirst into preparations for the high-octane Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. Marking his return to the cricketing fold after a short break, Rohit set foot in the MI camp on March 18.

Fresh off his commendable performance in the Test series against England, where India clinched victory by a margin of 4-1, Rohit is all set to weave his magic with the bat once again.

Despite passing on the captaincy mantle to Hardik Pandya, the right-handed maestro wasted no time in getting back into the swing of things, as evidenced by a 30-second clip circulated by the MI franchise across social media platforms.

In the video, Rohit Sharma's bat spoke volumes, with his cover drives radiating elegance, his advance down the wicket showcasing his aggression, and his signature pull shots reminding fans of his sheer power. 

Shedding the weight of captaincy seems to have rejuvenated Rohit, allowing him to focus solely on his batting.


After a couple of seasons that fell short of expectations, with Rohit managing 332 runs in 16 games in the previous year at an average that many would consider below par, and a further dip in form in 2022, the stakes are high for a comeback.

As the 35-year-old sharpens his blades for the IPL 2024, fans are eager to see if he can carry over his recent Test form into the T20 arena. 

With the T20 World Cup 2024 on the horizon, set to take place in the USA and the West Indies, Rohit's performance in the IPL could very well set the tone for his campaign in the global showdown.
