Sai Kishore Suffers Injury; GT Star Ruled Out Of Buchi Babu Trophy 2025

In a significant development, India's star bowler Sai Kishore has suffered an injury. The left-arm spinner didn't disclose the nature of his injury, but the Gujarat Titans' star player is all set to miss the upcoming Buchi Babu tournament. 

Sportstar reported about the injury and remarked that Kishore won't be available for the prestigious event, starting from August 18 to September 9 in Chennai, just ahead of the Duleep Trophy.

Now that Sai Kishore is out of the Buchi Babu tournament, his fellow GT teammate Shahrukh Khan will lead TNCA XI.

Sai Kishore's County Stint Cut Short

Notably, before the injury, Kishore took part in County Div-One 2025, where he featured in four innings for Surrey and took 11 wickets, including a five-wicket haul against Durham. The injury blow has cut short Sai's county stint. 

Prior to Kishore's stint with County cricket, Kishore took 19 wickets in 15 innings in the 2025 IPL, where he was Gujarat Titans' best spinner.  Further, Kishore's injury has also put his Duleep Trophy participation in danger as he was set to feature for South Zone in the tournament set to begin from August 28.
