The storm inside the Rajasthan Royals camp refuses to die down. After Rahul Dravid's shock exit as head coach and swirling rumours about Sanju Samson wanting out, the Royals have now chopped off another limb of their think tank.

The exits have only added fuel to the fire around Sanju Samson’s uncertain future. The skipper had reportedly asked for a release before the IPL 2026 mini auction, with Chennai Super Kings showing keen interest in a trade.

The rot seems to trace back to July's performance review after Rajasthan's disastrous 2025 campaign, just four wins in 14 games. The report was brutal, and insiders say it was then that owner Manoj Badale decided to tighten the screws.

Word is that Badale has shifted the big calls out of India and into London, taking direct charge of the franchise's future.
