India Under Pressure After Series Loss To New Zealand
The speculations that Rohit Sharma will miss the opening Test against Australia were going rounds since the start of the New Zealand series and it remained mystery even after the birth of his child on 15th of November. The excitement around the series is quite high with qualification for the WTC final on line, and India are surely the team under more pressure after Kiwis whitewashed them at home.
Along with Rohit Sharma, India are also likely to be without Shubman Gill for the opening Test. India's number 3 hurt his finger during practice and KL Rahul is likely to open the innings while Devdutt Paddikkal could bat at 3 in place of Shubman Gill. Australian camp though have no injury concerns, and they would be itching to start the series with a bang on a fast and pacy deck at the Optus Stadium in Perth.
