Cummins' achievement as Test captain
Pat Cummins started his Test career in 2011 and he grabbed a five-wicket haul in his debut game. However, constant injuries hampered his career as he was out of the side for the next 6 years.
It wasn't until 2017 that Cummins came back fully fit and we witnessed his 2.0 version. After his injury, he was a different bowler altogether and in the process, he also became the number 1 ranked Test bowler. He stood at the top of the rankings for four years and his reign ended in 2023.
Interestingly, he became the second Aussie pacer after Glenn McGrath to be crowned the number one ranked Test bowler.
He is also the 10th fastest to 150 Test wickets, and is also the seventh youngest to grab a five-wicket haul in a Test innings.
