Indian T20 World Cup-winning captain Rohit Sharma recently shared pictures from his outing with friends at a park as he enjoys some leisure time amid a prolonged break from his hectic international schedule.

Rohit Sharma encountered a roller coaster of emotions in the past 10 months. He went from losing the 2023 ODI World Cup final against Australia at home to leading India to the 2024 T20 World Cup title in Barbados.

The redemption was sweet and historic for the 37-year-old veteran who once kicked off his journey from the streets of Borivali in Mumbai.

Having said that, Rohit Sharma most recently led India in the ODI series against Sri Lanka, which ended in a 2-0 defeat. Regardless, the senior team is off for a long 40-day break as their next international series is scheduled in September against Bangladesh.

Introducing Rohit Sharma's Mandali!

Meanwhile, after a hectic season, Rohit Sharma is using this leisure time to reconnect and spend quality time with old friends, including coach Abhishek Nayar.

Lately, he has been going out with his friends to a park and has shared pictures of the outing with the caption “Mandali.” The Indian captain looked particularly at ease, sporting a relaxed smile in each picture.

Needless to say, for an all-format player like Rohit Sharma, who is constantly under the spotlight and under pressure to perform at the highest level, spending time with close friends allows him to recharge and maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma is likely to feature in the Duleep Trophy domestic tournament as Indian head coach Gautam Gambhir insists seniors utilise the tournament as a practice event for the upcoming high-stake Border Gavaskar Test series.
