Monank Patel, the star batter and captain of the USA, delivered a remarkable performance on 13 August in the 20th match of the Cricket World Cup League-II 2023-27. 

Facing off against Canada at Sportpark Westvliet, Patel led his team to set an imposing target, ensuring Canada had a tough chase ahead. After Canada won the toss and opted to bowl, the United States seized the opportunity to showcase their batting strength.

Monank Patel, known for his consistency and skill, stood out with an unbeaten 123 runs off just 95 balls. His innings was a masterclass in precision and power, leaving fans and critics alike in awe. 

The Indian-origin batter, who had already made headlines with his stellar performances in the T20 World Cup, once again demonstrated his class in the 50-over format.

The match also saw a promising debut from an under-19 World Cup-winning player from India, who contributed a solid 63 runs. Patel, along with Smit Patel, built a crucial partnership of 58 runs, further strengthening the USA's position.

Monank Patel's blistering knock was the highlight of the match, winning the hearts of fans and setting a mammoth target of 305 for Nicholas Kirton's Canada to chase.
