In an intense training session, India's ODI captain Rohit Sharma and returning Shreyas Iyer were seen practicing together in nets with bat in hand ahead of India's three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka, starting on Friday. 

While Rohit, India's ODI captain, will play for the first time under new head coach Gautam Gambhir, Shreyas, who lost his BCCI central contract, will make his return to national colours after quite some time.

Of course, both Rohit and Shreyas were seen holding the bat while training, as it was a batting training session going on.

India, under Suryakumar Yadav, just had a 3-0 sweep over Sri Lanka in the T20Is. They had a dramatic Super Over win in the third T20I, where SKY himself, coupled with Rinku Singh, rolled their arms in order to power their side to an emphatic comeback.

In the ODIs, there will also be the comeback of KL Rahul, who has not been playing for India for a while. All three ODIs will take place at R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo.
