[Watch] Potential Debutant Harshit Rana Sweats It Out In Nets Ahead Of SL ODIs

Team India announced their ODI squad for the Sri Lanka tour, a couple of days ago. While the core of the team from the 2023 World Cup remained the same, the only surprising, yet esciting inclusion was of Harshit Rana.

The tearaway pacer made a name for himself in the IPL 2024, and was fast-tracked by the BCCI, and the new head coach, Gautam Gambhir. Rana was under the watchful eyes of Gambhir, when the duo worked together in Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

Potential debutant sweats it hard during nets

Ahead of the series, the Indian team landed in Sri Lanka, a couple of days ago, and had their first training session, which was attended by Harshit as well. He sweat it hard during the practice session, and also spent a considerable time with senior pro, Virat Kohli.

The pacer looked in rhythm, and bowled with pace and as reported by senior journalist, Vimal Kumar, he managed to beat Virat Kohli's outside-edge a couple of times.

Harshit Rana had a breakout IPL 2024 season. Playing for the Knight Riders, the right-arm quick bowler picked up 19 wickets in 13 matches, and impressive everyone with his pace and accurate deliveries.

After a comprehensive win in the T20Is, the ODI series against the hosts will start on August 2. All the matches will be played in Colombo.
