In a thrilling encounter at the Brian Lara Stadium, Tarouba, on August 23, the Barbados Royals Women showcased not just their cricketing prowess but also their infectious team spirit in the 2nd match of the Women's Caribbean Premier League.

The Royals were electric on the field, and their celebrations after each wicket were a highlight of the match.

The first to fall was Trinbago Knight Riders' Jess Jonassen, who was dismissed by a brilliant catch from Hayley Matthews off Qiana Joseph's delivery.

Jonassen attempted to pull a good-length delivery aimed at the leg and middle stump but could only watch as Matthews dived to her left at short midwicket, securing the catch with grace. The Royals erupted in joy, with Matthews leading the dance that followed.

Rodrigues, who managed to score 16 runs, fell to a sharp catch by Amanda-Jade Wellington. The Royals’ jubilation was once again captured on camera, with the players dancing and cheering in unison.

Barbados Royals Women went on to win the match by 7 wickets, thanks to skipper Hayley Matthews, who played a stellar unbeaten knock of 67 and claimed two wickets, solidifying her all-around performance and leadership on the field.
