Rishabh Pant seems to be making his way to attaining full recovery from the injury he sustained during India’s tour of England late last month. In an interesting social media update, the blistering wicketkeeper-batter shared a picture of his injured foot, albeit without the hard cast.

Pant signified the update as “positive” news for him as he aims to make his return to India’s international setup.

Rishabh Pant Achieves Recovery Milestone

Rishabh Pant has achieved a major recovery milestone, as per his own admission on social media. On Thursday, August 21; i.e., roughly a month after the cricketer sustained a nasty foot injury in England, he shared a picture of his foot but without the hard cast, the one that was applied to him after the setback.

Taking to his Instagram story, Rishabh Pant wrote in the caption:

“At least the hard cast is off. Some positive.”

Rishabh Pant sustained his foot injury while attempting a risky shot against England fast bowler Chris Woakes in the fourth Test of the five-match series back in July at Old Trafford in Manchester. The ball stuck in his foot, causing the left-hander to bleed and writhe in pain as he was escorted off the field by the Indian support staff.

Nonetheless, the cricketer has now been advised rest to achieve full recovery. He is already been excluded by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) from India’s 15-player squad for the upcoming 2025 Men’s T20 Asia Cup in the UAE.

Moreover, Rishabh Pant is also on course to miss Team India’s two-match Test series against the West Indies team at home in October. The series will also form a part of the 2025-27 World Test Championship (WTC) cycle.
