Finally, there is some respite for the Indian team ahead of the start of the Border-Gavaskar series Vs the Australian team. Shubman Gill, who was ruled out of the first Test in Perth could make a miraculous comeback and be a part of the Indian side before the second Test.
The talented number 3 batter who looked in good touch during the New Zealand Tests suffered from a fractured left thumb and was subsequently ruled out of the first Test in Perth. The youngster was fielding in slips when he hurt his thumb and Team India took a precautionary measure by not including him in the side for the Perth Test.
However, as per a fresh report by RevSportz, Shubman Gill's injury is not as serious as previously thought and the bright young talent could make his comeback during the practice match scheduled after the first Test match.
As per the reports, Gill hasn't fractured his thumb, but only a tiny tissue has been affected. As a result, he could be back in time for India's practice game against Prime Ministers XI. He will be back in practising in the next one week.
Jaiswal, the latest inductee in injury list
Seems like injury has taken a liking to the Indian camp. KL Rahul and Sarfaraz Khan got injured, a couple of days ago, followed by Gill, who injured his left thumb.
Now, Yashasvi Jaiswal is reportedly suffering from a stiff neck and was taken off the field as a precautionary measure on Tuesday. Team India will hope that Jaiswal gets ready for the first Test, as without him, the Indian team will no longer have their two first choice openers.
The latest visuals which circulated showed Jaiswal in some discomfort as the team physio attended him.
