RCB (Royal Challengers Bangalore) suffered a narrow defeat against KKR (Kolkata Knight Riders) at Eden Gardens by just 1 run. Needing 3 runs off the last ball, Ferguson and Siraj attempted a second run but Ferguson was run out, sealing KKR's victory.

Chasing 223 runs, RCB started positively with Virat Kohli blasting from the start. However, Virat got out on a controversial and unlucky delivery. After his dismissal, it was Will Jacks and Rajat Patidar who brought RCB back into the game.

At one stage, everyone thought RCB would cruise to the total. But true to their nature, RCB lost 4 wickets in 2 overs, putting KKR in the advantage. Despite efforts from Dinesh Karthik and Prabhudessai, it wasn't enough.

Tail-ender Karn Sharma then turned the tide by hitting back-to-back sixes when 4 balls and 15 runs were needed. However, Karn got out on the next ball, and Ferguson came to the strike for the last ball with Mohammed Siraj at the opposite end.

Unfortunately, on the last ball, the duo could only manage a single when 3 runs were needed, resulting in Ferguson's runout. Siraj, who was at the opposite end, was visibly disappointed by the outcome.

 Siraj feel gutted in loss

Mohammed Siraj felt lost and expressed his sadness through his Instagram story.

Earlier, Mohammed Siraj had expressed his opinion about the 12th man impact rule, which affects the game and gives bowlers less assistance on flat tracks.

RCB will have an 'almost impossible' task to come back in the tournament with 7 losses in 8 games.
