Virat Kohli was declared out under seemingly controversial circumstances during RCB’s away Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 clash against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on April 21.

Opening the innings for his side in Match 36 of the tournament, the cricketer was deceived by Harshit Rana’s high full toss delivery in RCB’s chase of 223.

While Kohli alleged it to be a no-ball during a subsequent dispute with the on-field umpire, television replays and hawk-eye technology eventually justified the cricketer’s early dismissal.

Despite his early exit, RCB almost pulled off a sensational heist at Kolkata, reaching just a run within KKR’s 222-run total in a high-scoring thriller.

After RCB slumped to their 7th defeat of the season and sixth in succession, senior man Virat Kohli caught up with several of KKR’s talented youngsters and even gave them some valuable batting tips.

Virat Kohli caught up with several KKR youngsters after RCB slumped to a one-run defeat at the Eden Gardens. The cricketer was spotted handing out some valuable tips to a number of keen listeners.

Earlier in the match, KKR charted 222-6 from their 20 overs off the back of a 14-ball 48 from Phil Salt, and a calculated half-century from captain Shreyas Iyer. Ramandeep Singh also added valuable runs in the death overs alongside Andre Russell.

Chasing 223, Virat Kohli whacked a boundary and two sixes before his dismissal to Harshit Rana. Will Jacks and Rajat Patidar led RCB’s fightback in the middle, while Dinesh Karthik and Karn Sharma blasted sizzling 20s in the slog overs. However, Sharma’s dismissal in the penultimate delivery tilted the tide back in KKR’s favour.

Virat Kohli will now turn up for RCB against SRH on April 25 in match number 41 of the IPL 2024 season.
